Come to our street theatre next Saturday
Saturday July 23rd will see on the streets of Stroud two performances of Saved, a drama loosely based in the traditions of the mummers/pantomime/European street theatre.
Written by local wordy Jonny Fluffypunk the performance lays bare the world of tight domestic finance, the temptations of easy loans and the dramas played out daily in the residential streets of everywhere.
Presented by Save’n’borrow, Saved will be performed by four well-known local performers including Jonny, Ellie Holliday, John Broadbent, and Mark Abbott: which of these will play the harassed housewife and which the White Knight in shining armour is still secret, even to the performers, and you can be one of the first to find out only by coming to the bottom of Stroud High Street on the morning of Saturday July 23rd.
There will be two performances that morning, at 11 a.m. and 12.30, with later performances planned for August 20th and September 10th – both market days.
