Welcome to Stroud Valleys Credit Union
Stroud Valleys Credit Union offer savings and loans to our members. Our ethos differs from other financial organisations because we are a financial mutual. This means that the credit union is owned and controlled by its members. Everyone who works at the credit union is a member, including the board of directors, and most are volunteers. Anyone who qualifies under our common bond can join the Credit Union. Our common bond is people living or working in the Stroud District or Tetbury areas.
At the two Special General Meetings in July 2021, members present voted in favour of merger with the Great Western Credit Union. The Great Western board has approved the plan and we are now working towards completing the merger in early 2022.Opening hours from 26th July 2021
Our counter will now be open on Mondays and Friday from 11am to 1pm. We are also using a booking system so if you phone ahead we can give you a time when you will be seen right away and not have to queue. Most of you are choosing to use phone, email and our website anyway which stay available as before.
